The UK government has launched a £100 million Sovereign AI R&D Procurement Scheme to support British AI startups in developing solutions for public services, including NHS efficiency, cyber resilience, and national security. This initiative aims to help these companies grow domestically and compete globally, while the UK also plans to open its AI Economics Institute to G7 cooperation.
