26,400 Valid Cloud and AI Credentials Found Exposed in Public Gitee Repositories

Researcher Ben Zimmermann found 26,400 valid cloud and AI service credentials exposed in public Gitee repositories, including nearly 9,500 Alibaba Cloud keys and over 1,300 OpenAI keys. These credentials, some dating back to 2025 and earlier, remain active and could be exploited for unauthorized access and charges. Zimmermann notified vendors but did not confirm if the keys were revoked or if they had been misused.
