AI app ads promoting 'objectification of women' banned by watchdog

The UK Advertising Standards Authority banned five AI app ads on Meta platforms for promoting sexualized and objectifying portrayals of women, including one featuring a sexualized image of a minor. The ads encouraged creating explicit content without consent, violating new UK laws against non-consensual deepfake imagery. Meta removed the ads, and the ASA uses AI tools to monitor such violations and may alert law enforcement for illegal content.
