AI Decision Models and Their Impact on AI SOC Platforms

TypeSafe AI launched Jev, a System One decision model, on September 15, followed by OpenAI's Decisions API public beta on October 6 and Cribl's open-source cribl-decision adapter. These models provide probabilistic yes/no or scored outputs for alert triage in security operations, enabling automated handling of alerts with calibrated probabilities and low cost per alert. This new AI model category skips text generation, focusing on decision outputs that are auditable and efficient for SOCs.
