David Sacks, co-chair of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science & Technology, stated that leading AI firms Anthropic and OpenAI should self-regulate their technology safety without government antitrust intervention. He echoed former FTC chair Lina Khan's view that these companies could face legal consequences for unsafe AI products.
