Announcing Project ProtoStar: Making Publicly Funded Science AI-Ready

Project ProtoStar, launched by a coalition of universities and partners including Hugging Face, aims to make publicly funded scientific datasets, models, and code more accessible and reusable in AI-ready formats. The initiative will demonstrate value through open challenges starting November 2, focusing on improving discoverability and reuse of federally funded research artifacts.
