Anthropic shared early progress in drug development using its Claude AI model, collaborating with six biotech firms and advancing in-house programs targeting allergies, rare diseases, and cancers. Notably, Generate Biomedicines used Claude to design improved CAR T-cell therapies showing promising lab results, while Divergence Labs created thousands of antibody designs for food allergy treatment with initial positive hits. These efforts remain mostly preclinical with further testing planned.
