Apple is collaborating with LG Electronics to develop a range of smart home devices including a video doorbell, thermostat, smart lock, and security cameras, which will be branded under LG. These devices will integrate with Apple's upcoming smart home hub, an updated HomePod mini, and a new Apple TV, marking a strategic reboot of Apple's HomeKit platform to better compete with Amazon and Google. LG will manufacture and support the products, while Apple will influence their design and engineering
