Bernie Sanders proposes banning ‘superintelligence’ and putting violators in prison

Senators Bernie Sanders and Greg Casar introduced the Ban Artificial Superintelligence Act, proposing to outlaw development of AI systems capable of threatening humanity, with penalties up to 20 years in prison.
