OpenAI president Greg Brockman and other tech leaders like Elon Musk and Jensen Huang have recently claimed that artificial general intelligence (AGI) has been achieved. However, some AI experts argue that AGI remains ill-defined and that current claims are more marketing than reality. The term AGI originally referred to AI capable of performing a wide range of tasks at human-level proficiency, a goal not yet met.
