Communications watchdog fines Google, Apple over in-app payment policies

South Korea's Korea Media and Communications Commission fined Google $42.9M and Apple $20.8M for violating telecom laws by restricting app developers' payment options in their app stores. The KMCC will issue corrective orders but no criminal charges.
