South Korea's defense ministry inaugurated the military's first AI transformation base in Pangyo to develop AI models for humanoid and multi-legged robots, aiming to improve operational efficiency and troop safety. The base will collect AI data and train robots for tasks like transporting goods and explosive ordnance disposal. Plans include establishing five such bases nationwide to integrate private-sector AI tech with military needs.
