Europe's birth rate hits all-time low

Europe's birth rate in 2024 has fallen to its lowest since 2001, with an average of 1.34 children per woman, well below the replacement level. Several regions in Spain, Poland, Italy, Greece, Germany, and Lithuania have rates under one child per woman, Eurostat reports.
