FuriosaAI raises $620m at a $2.9bn valuation for its Nvidia rival chips

FuriosaAI, a Seoul-based AI inference chip maker, raised $620 million in a Series D round, valuing the company at $2.9 billion. Its RNGD chip, produced by TSMC, competes with Nvidia's cards by offering similar throughput with lower power consumption, and it is gaining adoption in Asia-Pacific.
