Google adds Gemini-powered scam checks to Messages and Android calls

Google introduced new AI-driven scam protections for Android, including an opt-in Enhanced protection mode in Google Messages using Gemini models to detect scam intent. Additional features block fake bank calls, hide sensitive fields during screen sharing, and prevent silent call forwarding by apps.
