Google's new Genie 4 model looks incredible, but it's a long way from AGI

Google introduced Genie 4, an AI model that generates immersive, interactive virtual worlds with realistic visuals and audio responsive to user input. While impressive, the model's ability to simulate environments does not equate to achieving artificial general intelligence (AGI), as it lacks true understanding and long-term coherence.
