Huawei has submitted a bid to build AI data centers for Egypt using its Ascend 950-series chips, marking its first confirmed export of these processors. The US State Department is countering by forming a rival consortium with Nvidia, AMD, and Microsoft. The proposal includes advanced surveillance technology from iFlytek, a Chinese firm blacklisted by the US.
