Japan's Sharp begins taking domestic orders for AI servers made by Foxconn

Sharp Corp. has begun accepting orders in Japan for AI servers manufactured by its parent company Foxconn, aiming to boost domestic AI infrastructure with Nvidia-powered technology. Sales will start in fiscal 2027, targeting governments and research centers, with plans to expand globally and possibly produce servers domestically at Sharp's Kameyama plant.
