(LEAD) HD Hyundai Q3 net profit up 40 pct to 1.38 tln won

HD Hyundai reported a 40% rise in Q3 net profit to 1.38 trillion won, driven by strong results in shipbuilding, machinery, and energy sectors. Operating profit grew 71.5% and revenue increased 21.2% year-on-year.
