(LEAD) Samsung Electronics posts record profit in Q3 on AI chip supercycle

Samsung Electronics reported a record Q3 net profit of 75.13 trillion won ($56.2B), a 514.6% increase year-over-year, driven by strong demand for AI-related semiconductors. Operating profit and revenue also hit new highs, continuing a four-quarter streak of record earnings.
