Learning from routine health system data builds better neuroimaging AI models

Researchers developed a 3D visual foundation model trained on over 5 million routine clinical CT and MRI scans, enabling improved neuroimaging diagnosis and preliminary report generation in real health systems. This model outperforms those trained on public internet and medical data by learning shared neuroanatomy and disease representations.
