Lions right-hander Kona Takahashi declares international free agency

Seibu Lions pitcher Kona Takahashi has declared international free agency to pursue a move to Major League Baseball, while also considering opportunities within Japan. Takahashi, 29, was previously posted but remained with the Lions after no MLB deal was reached.
