Managers are using AI to write performance reviews – and it shows

A Highwire survey reveals 78% of managers use AI to assist with performance reviews, speeding up feedback preparation, though only 16% of employees know AI influenced their reviews. While 54% of employees find AI-assisted feedback more specific, a significant portion sees it as less useful or generic. Additionally, about 25% of employees use AI to rehearse difficult workplace conversations, filling a gap in managerial support.
