OpenAI donates Open Responses, its spec for a common LLM API, to the Agentic AI Foundation

OpenAI has donated its Open Responses API specification to the Agentic AI Foundation, aiming to standardize API calls across large language model providers and ease developer integration. The specification is already supported by major companies like AWS, Nvidia, and Hugging Face, with the AAIF providing a neutral governance home.
