OpenAI halves $200 plan allowance, launches $500 plan

OpenAI launched a new $500-per-month Pro plan offering 25 times the usage of ChatGPT Plus and access to the Ultrafast GPT-6 Astra tier. Concurrently, it will halve the usage allowance of its $200 Pro plan starting October 30, reducing message limits and included usage credits, though existing subscribers get a credit grant through year-end.
