OpenAI hires its first worldwide sales chief from a company it just cut off

OpenAI appointed Brian McCarthy, formerly of SpaceX and Cursor, as its first vice president of worldwide sales, despite recently cutting off SpaceX's access to its AI models. McCarthy brings over 20 years of enterprise software experience and will lead OpenAI's global sales efforts under chief revenue officer Dali Rajic.
