Playing both sides of the U.S.-China AI “Cold War”

Saudi Arabia launched Humain-m3, an advanced Arabic AI model based on Chinese open-source tech, while investing heavily in American AI infrastructure. Countries in the Global South, like Brazil, are similarly balancing AI investments between Chinese and U.S. technologies to avoid dependence on a single source amid U.S.-China AI competition.
