Relations between Russia and African Union develop on long-term basis — Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Burundi's President Evariste Ndayishimiye, current African Union chair, to discuss strengthening long-term relations between Russia and the African Union and positive bilateral ties with Burundi. Russia supports Burundi's bid for G20 membership and will mark 55 years of diplomatic relations in 2027.
