Rosatom starts nuclear fuel shipment for Rooppur NPP Unit 2 in Bangladesh

Rosatom has shipped the first batch of nuclear fuel for the VVER 1200 reactor at Unit 2 of Bangladesh's Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, marking a key step in the plant's development. The fuel assemblies were produced in Novosibirsk and delivered by dedicated cargo flight. The Rooppur plant includes two reactors totaling 2,400 MW capacity and is located near Dhaka, built under a Russian contract signed in 2015.
