S. Korean defense chief agrees to expand defense cooperation with Singapore, Vietnam

South Korean Defense Minister Kang Shin-chul met with Singaporean and Vietnamese defense ministers at the ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting to discuss expanding defense cooperation, including in AI and cybersecurity. They agreed to enhance personnel exchanges and update existing defense agreements to address evolving security challenges, amid concerns over North Korea's recent missile launches and provocations.
