ShieldBreak Zero-Day PoC Claims Microsoft Defender Patch Bypass With SYSTEM Access

Security researcher Chaotic Eclipse released a proof-of-concept called ShieldBreak that bypasses Microsoft's patch for the CVE-2026-50656 vulnerability in Microsoft Defender, enabling SYSTEM-level access. The exploit was tested successfully on Windows 11 25H2 and Windows Server 2025, with Windows 10 also vulnerable. Microsoft has yet to respond to this new bypass claim.
