Siemens, Nvidia deploy industrial AI to reduce engineering effort

Nvidia and Siemens are deploying AI technologies at Siemens' Erlangen Electronics Factory in Germany to enhance production efficiency and reduce engineering effort. The AI systems include digital twins, AI-generated training data, and AI agents, aiming to cut engineering effort by up to 85% and time-to-market by 40%. Siemens plans to invest $559 million in transforming the site through 2030, with over 100 AI algorithms already in use.
