Sony Interactive Entertainment launched Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR), a new AI upscaling technology for the standard PlayStation 5, enhancing image detail and stability. QSSR, developed with AMD, debuted in patches for Marvel's Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei on October 1, 2026. It offers improved graphics performance on the standard PS5, complementing the existing PSSR technology exclusive to PS5 Pro.
