The FDA selected Dexcom as the first company in its TEMPO pilot, allowing Medicare patients access to an unauthorized digital health device for diabetes monitoring under enforcement discretion. The program collects real-world data to evaluate device performance and supports CMS's ACCESS payment model focused on outcome-based care for chronic conditions.
