Trezor Warns of Suspected Hardware Implant in One of Its Wallets Sold by CryptoBilis

A Trezor Safe 5 hardware wallet purchased from reseller CryptoBilis was found to contain a hidden cellular module that transmits the wallet's recovery phrase over a mobile network. Trezor advises all buyers from CryptoBilis since March 2026 to move funds to new wallets and offers replacements. The tampered device was reported by a customer in Indonesia and is under investigation by Trezor.
