Turning Database Grading into RL Rewards: Post-Training Agents with ThinkingBox

Microsoft and Hugging Face developed ThinkingBox, a system that converts database state checks into reward signals for training AI agents. Using this method, they fine-tuned the Qwen3.8-27B model, improving its task success rate from 51.7% to 60.78%.
