U.S. Silver Star Medal reissued to late S. Korean veteran of Korean War

The U.S. Silver Star Medal awarded to late South Korean Army Staff Sgt. Nam Woon-soo for his valor in the 1952 Battle of White Horse Hill was posthumously reissued after going missing decades ago. The reissuance followed cooperation between South Korean authorities and the U.S. Department of Defense, culminating in a ceremony at Daejeon National Cemetery.
