UAE AI minister: data centres are now “more important than bridges”

The UAE's AI minister Omar Sultan Al Olama stated that data centres have become critical infrastructure, more vital than bridges or roads, especially amid regional conflict. Following attacks that destroyed Salesforce's UAE data centres, the country is no longer promoting data centre locations for security reasons and expects other nations to follow suit.
