Volkswagen to take China-developed car technology to global markets

Volkswagen will expand use of China-developed car technology, including the Compact Main Platform and China Electronic Architecture, to new models in South America and other developing markets by the end of the decade. This strategy excludes Europe and North America and aims to leverage China as an innovation hub to reduce development time and costs.
