Webwright: Why AI Web Agents Should Write Code, Not Click

Webwright, developed by Microsoft Research and the University of Hong Kong, introduces a novel browser-agent framework that writes code to interact with websites rather than relying on fragile, step-by-step clicking actions. This approach aims to overcome common failures in web agents caused by unpredictable page changes and non-reusable action sequences.
