Researchers introduced ViTeX-Bench, a benchmark to evaluate AI video scene-text replacement by assessing text accuracy, visual and temporal quality, and preservation of the original scene outside the edited area. The benchmark highlights that even smooth edits can alter more of the footage than intended, emphasizing the need for clear boundaries on permissible changes during AI video editing.
