xMEMS Labs has started mass production of its XMC-2400 and XMC-4800 solid-state micro-cooling chips designed to manage heat in compact AI devices like glasses and data center hardware. These chips use piezoMEMS technology to generate airflow without traditional fans, enabling cooling in thin devices where fans are impractical. The first commercial products with XMC-2400 are expected in early 2027, targeting AI glasses and personal SSDs, while XMC-4800 suits smartphones and enterprise SSDs.
