Apple has introduced a generative AI-powered assistant to handle calls on its Apple Support phone line in the U.S. and Canada, providing detailed troubleshooting and answering questions. The AI can transfer callers to human advisors if needed. This AI assistant has been active since earlier in 2026 and complements a new AI chatbot in the Apple Support app.
