[AINews] Jev: a “System One Model” that only decides/classifies/routes/scores — >100x faster, >200x cheaper than small frontier LLMs

TypeSafe launched Jev, a new AI model focused on fast decision-making tasks rather than language generation, claiming it is over 20 times faster and up to 400 times cheaper than small frontier LLMs. Jev uses a novel training method called RLCD to achieve parallel sampling, no hallucination, and better calibration, complementing slower, reasoning-focused models.
