Bolt wants to put 25,000 driverless Lucids on European roads

Lucid and Bolt announced a non-binding plan to deploy at least 25,000 driverless Lucid crossovers in Europe, but face regulatory caps limiting EU-wide automated vehicle approvals to 1,500 units annually per type. Bolt aims for 100,000 autonomous vehicles by 2035, yet no vehicles have been ordered, no funds committed, and the driving software remains unspecified. Regulatory and production challenges pose significant hurdles to the ambitious deployment.
