Google has launched Home MCP, a protocol that lets third-party AI agents like Claude and Open Claw securely control and monitor smart home devices within the Google Home ecosystem, enabling new interactive features. Initially available to US Google Home Premium Advanced users, it allows AI agents to analyze device data and interact via voice or custom dashboards, while enforcing safety limits such as preventing door unlocking.
