Medtronic Wins FDA Clearance for LigaSure RAS Maryland on Hugo Robot

Medtronic received FDA clearance for the LigaSure RAS Maryland jaw device to be used with its Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system, expanding its instrument options for U.S. robotic surgeries. The device seals and cuts vessels up to 7 mm, using proven vessel-sealing technology previously introduced in Europe. The Hugo system is already FDA-cleared for urologic surgeries and is expanding into general and gynecologic surgeries.
