OpenAI launched Astra for Law, a GPT-6 Astra-based model tailored for legal research, supported by a new legal search index covering over 230 million US legal documents. The index complements existing legal databases and shows a 40% improvement over prior versions in correctness on legal queries. Selected law firms access it first, with API availability planned later.
